The treatment of patients in quality-assuring-protocols contributed to a significant progress in the therapy of malignant lymphomas over the last 20 years. Nevertheless, only a relatively small proportion of all lymphoma-patients is actually enrolled into these studies.
In subproject 12, the outcomes of patients, who are treated within or outside clinical studies, are being compared. The subproject will allow a judgement to what extend the group of patients who are treated in TOP are representative for all patients, who suffer from malignant lymphomas in our population - and to which extent the two groups differ systematically.
