The Competence Network Malignant Lymphomas was established following the priciples of the legal form of an association.
The bord of directors is made up by the leaders of the German Hodgkin Lymphoma Study Group (GHSG), the German Low-Grade Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Study Group (GLSG), the German High-Grade Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Study Group, and the German CLL Study Group (GCLLSG). Four further members have been elected by the project leaders and applicants of the Network. They represent the fields biometry and informatics, reference pathology, reference radiotherapy as well as private outpatient clinics. Speaker of the Network is the leader of the DCLLSG Prof. Dr. Michael Hallek.
The extended board is in charge to support and consult the board of directors in its various activities. Here, the leaders of the associated study groups are represented as well as representatives of institutions and organisations which collaborate closely with the Competence Network.
The board of directors and two representatives of each subproject are entitled to vote at the annual general meeting of the members of the Network. The co-operating partners of the subprojects are affiliated to the Network as associated members. According to the constitution of the Network these members have access to all information and events concerning the Network but have no voting right at the general meeting of the members.
The project executing organisation has assigned a scientific advisory board in collaboration with the board of directors of the Competence Network. This board currently consists of nine members, who represent each subject of the Network working fields. Its task is the continuous evaluation of the Network's progress. The annual reports of the Network are forwarded to the advisory board. This board also composes the core of the assessor committee for in-between appraisals. In addition, there is an annual meeting of the members of the board of directors and the advisory board to discuss omgoing and planned projects.
