Documentation Project in non-university hospitals

The majority of lymphoma patients in Germany is being treated in non-university hospitals. The participation of these clinics in therapy optimizing studies, however, is in danger since the additional work for the documentation of patients being treated within these studies has led to personnell shortages. To overcome this problem the competence network on malignant lymphomas has initiated a so-called documentation project in co-operation with the pharmaceutical industry planned for 2 years in the beginning of 2002.
It is the goal of the project to support the study documentation of non-university hospitals and to establish internal structures in the hospitals which will enable future participation in clinical studies and will ensure the necessary quality in documentation beyond the end of the project.
