In the Competence Network Malignant Lymphomas the leading German researchers and health care facilities in the field of Malignant Lymphomas have joined forces. Outstanding aim of the Network is to combine available expertise and to rapidly transfer it into patient care. Current information on Malignant Lymphomas is promptly prepared and provided for both health care professionals and patients.

Concerning international interest in the harmonization of clinical definitions and statistical trial parameters this working group was initiated. It is coordinated by Bruce Cheson (National Cancer Institute, USA) and the WG Quality Management. For the discussion of definitions, e.g. remission criteria and involved field radiation, an electronic platform is provided.
